Untemplater is the culmination of nearly four months of hard work with some incredibly cool co-founders: Jun Loayza from Viralogy.com; Adam Baker, nomadic family man at Man Vs. Debt; the philosophically-brilliant Carlos Miceli of OwlSparks; published author and consultant Monica O’Brien; and our rad web developer Andrew Norcross. We’ve also got dozens of fabulous writers lined up—young entrepreneurs, lifestyle designers, digital nomads, and more—who will share their personal stories and guidance on how to design your ideal lifestyle and career.
There are many blogs and books meant to teach and inspire you to leave your corporate existence in order to pursue a venture that you’re “passionate” about. Most of these sites mean well and are inspirational, but they’re written by gurus who’ve already “made it” and aren’t in touch with your reality, or they’re written by pure theorists—people who haven’t actually put their lessons to action—they talk the talk but don’t walk the walk.
Untemplater, on the other hand, is composed of real people who are in the trenches, working hard to live the life that we want to live. It’s not easy, nor is it glamorous. You’ll see our pain, struggles, successes, and failures as we create an existence that we are proud of and enjoy 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
We are MBAs; we are husbands, wives, and fathers; we are scrappy entrepreneurs, authors, and freelancers. We live all over the globe. wow, excited I found your site! I am pretty much a ‘lifestyle design’ n00b. but i’m taking it on by storm in two weeks when I career break to a volunteer trip in India and then move abroad to the Philippines. I’ve already got some freelance work lined up but my goal is to work location independent and build up my freelancing to where it’s sustainable. And in Asia, I think it’s totally doable! I will DEFINITELY be checking out this network. Thanks again!!

I’d love to join the freebird life end of this decade
Right now, I’m just traveling 6 weeks a year, but would love to increase that to 12 weeks a year eventually.
